You & I is made by Twosday LLC (“we”, “us”), a Wyoming company. By using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 13. If you’re under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
2. Your account and your room
The app makes an anonymous account on your phone. You’re responsible for what happens on it. If you delete the app without deleting your account, the account can’t be recovered.
A room is for two people. You invite the other person with a code or a link. Either of you can close the room at any time, and it closes for both of you. What you made together stays readable for both of you. It opens again only if you both want it.
3. What you put in
What you write and make in the app (names, answers, notes, the house you decorate) is yours. You let us store it and show it to the other person in your room, because that’s what the app is for. We don’t use it for anything else.
Everything else in the app (the games, characters, art, music, words and code) belongs to us or to the people who licensed it to us. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use. Don’t copy, sell, change or take apart the app, or try to get around its limits or security.
4. The rules
You & I is for two people who want to be there. Be kind. Don’t use it to:
- harass, threaten or bully anyone, or post hate;
- scam anyone, or do anything illegal;
- share sexual content involving anyone under 18, ever;
- pretend to be someone you aren’t, to get into a room;
- overload, attack or misuse our servers, or cheat by tampering with the app.
If someone treats you badly, close the room: Settings → More → Close our room. To report something, write to [email protected].
5. Coins and things in the house
You earn coins by playing, and you can spend them on things for your house. Coins and the things you buy with them aren’t money. They have no cash value, and you can’t sell them, trade them or turn them into money. They belong to the room you share. We may change what coins earn and cost, as the game changes.
6. Paid plans
Some of the app is free, and some needs a paid plan. When you buy a plan:
- You pay Apple or Google, under their terms. The price and the length of the plan are shown before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew on their own until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel it.
- If a plan comes with a free trial, you’re charged when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
- A plan covers your room. If either of you pays, it counts for both of you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, under their rules. Where the law gives you a right to a refund or to cancel, you keep it.
- To get a purchase back on a new phone, use Restore purchases in the app.
7. Ending
You can stop at any time: delete your account in Settings → More → Delete account. The privacy policy says what that deletes and what stays with the other person.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules or puts other people at risk. When we can, we tell you first. We may also change or stop parts of the app, or the whole app. If we stop the whole app, we’ll tell you in the app at least 30 days before.
8. The legal part
The app as it is. We work hard on You & I, but we provide it “as is”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise it will always work, be free of mistakes, or keep every game or thing forever.
Limits. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses (like lost data, profits or opportunities). Our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50, whichever is more.
What the law gives you stays. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law as a consumer, such as those in the EU and UK. We’re still responsible if we cause death or injury by negligence, or act fraudulently.
Which law. These terms are governed by the law of Wyoming, USA. If you live in the EU or UK, the laws of your country also protect you, and you can bring a claim in your country’s courts.
Changes. If we change these terms, the date at the top changes. If a change matters, we tell you in the app before it applies. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
9. Apple and Google
If you got the app from Apple’s App Store:
- These terms are between you and Twosday LLC, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence is to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple’s Usage Rules allow.
- Apple has no duty to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app doesn’t work as promised, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for it. As far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty duty for it.
- We, not Apple, handle any claim about the app: product liability, not meeting a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection, privacy, or someone’s intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you aren’t in a country under a US embargo, and aren’t on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.
If you got the app from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply to your download and your purchases.
